Wisconsin is home to some of the most promising young people in the nation, and I am pleased to be able to offer an opportunity to further promote the leadership that will one day lead our state and country.

The individuals who are chosen to participate in the internship program at the Executive Office are among the brightest in our state, and their work is vital to helping the office run smoothly.  This opportunity gives participants a first hand look at the workings of state government, and allows them to work directly alongside staff members in a professional setting.

There are many diverse opportunities for interns in our office.  Policy, legal, press, and outreach are just a few of the departments that benefit enormously from the help of interns. This specialized program allows interns to work in an area of their interest, enabling them to have a meaningful, hands-on experience, and work as a contributing member of a team.

The role that interns play in the Executive Office is a very important one, and I encourage you to get involved. This program helps participants develop personally and professionally through an invaluable experience, and in turn, provides them with the great reward of public service.
